All About Historic Boston Explorer

Historic Boston Explorer is an experimental web site to try to allow visitors to explore Boston in both space and time through pictures and maps. As content is added, it will be linked to related content. For example, a picture of the Massachusetts State House in 1850 will be linked to photos of the same building in 1830, 1875, and today. In addition, links will be provided to a contemporary map of the area, which will have markers for nearby locations that also have contemporary photos.
