A Church for a King

The King's Chapel is one of the most famous structures in Boston. It is one of the oldest surviving structure and is on the Freedom Trail. In addition, it seems that no other building has ever been built on the site: each building that stood there was the King's Chapel.

The ironic thing about the King's Chapel, is that it is Anglican. Why is this ironic? Because Boston was settled by the Puritan, who were escaping persecution from the Church of England, which is another way to say, the Anglicans! And a few decades after forging a new city in the New World, the Anglicans are building churches in the middle of Boston.
